We offer a warm and relaxing welcome at the lake and hope you enjoy your training here.

Pre booking is essential as we have decided to offer diving at the lake on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holiday Mondays to dive schools and dive clubs only. This hopefully will benefit yourselves and your students.

Having pre booked your places will guarantee you hard standing car parking places and not a free for all so if you get stuck in traffic or delayed in someway you know that when you get to the lake you’ll still get a spot.

Numbers at the lake will be monitored and controlled so we wont become overcrowded.

By diving only at weekends and 1 night per month we will minimise our impact on the natural environment and its inhabitants and allow it to settle and thrive.

 

The lake is set out in 2 zones.

Zone 1: Open water training area

There are 3 training platforms one at 8m, one at 7m and one at 6m, each platform is approximately  16ft x 12ft.

Entry and exit to/from the water is via a jetty/ramp.

Zone 2: Designated Rescue and Advanced zone

With one platform at 6m depth, 1 flatbed truck, 1 curtain-sider lorry and an aircraft cockpit. Entry and exit via the dive jetty.

Plans are still ongoing and further underwater attractions will soon be added.

The concrete hard standing car park is at the east end of the lake.

Toilets are also located in the car park.

Hot & Cold food and drinks available on site.

Gates open 8:30 am until 6 pm Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday Mondays.

Winter Hours

9 am until 4:30 pm.

Night Dives

Night opening will be held on the First Tuesday of each month between 6 pm until 8:30 pm to be off site by 9 pm.

Chattern Hill Lake is run by divers for divers, set in approximately 60 acres of nature reserve that is a tranquil and beautiful place to bring your students or club members for basic and more advanced training.
